How project-request information is used.

Information we collect

When you request an estimate, we may collect your name, phone number, optional email address, preferred contact method, project location, project type, timing, planning range, dimensions, project description, referral source, and any photos you choose to upload. The website also uses essential technical information needed to operate securely and save requests.

How we use it

We use this information to review project fit, prioritize and respond to requests, prepare for conversations or site visits, maintain an internal lead record, and improve our understanding of which business channels generate useful inquiries. Submitted information may be organized by automated tools, but project decisions, commitments, and follow-up remain under owner control.

Website activity measurement

We use first-party measurement to count anonymous visits, sessions, page views, device class, referring website, campaign labels, estimate-form progress, submitted requests, and clicks to call, text, email, use the cost calculator, visit the financing provider, or request an estimate. A random browser identifier and session identifier are stored in your browser so repeat visits and sessions can be counted. We do not store full IP addresses, create advertising fingerprints, record form text, calculator totals, or payment assumptions as analytics, or track activity inside the private owner workspace. Known automated browsers, local development traffic, and browsers sending a Do Not Track signal are excluded.

Contact permission

By checking the permission box on the estimate form, you agree that Driftless Contracting may call, text, or email you about that project request. This permission does not authorize unrelated promotional messages. Standard carrier messaging or data rates may apply.

Storage and service providers

Project details, internal follow-up records, and anonymous website activity are stored in the website’s managed database. Uploaded photos are stored in managed file storage. Website hosting, owner notifications, optional email delivery, and analytics may be handled by service providers acting for the business. Information is not sold as a customer list.

When the owner chooses to prepare a site visit or estimate appointment, the private Lead Desk can open an Outlook event draft containing relevant project and contact details. Nothing is added to Outlook automatically. The owner reviews the draft before saving it and separately chooses whether to include the customer as an attendee.

The Winona page uses Google Maps Platform to load current public rating and review information for Driftless Contracting. When that widget loads, Google may receive technical request, browser, device, and network information under the Google Privacy Policy and Google Maps Terms. Review content and reviewer attribution remain Google Maps content.

Retention and your choices

We retain project-request records for business follow-up, recordkeeping, and service improvement. You may ask us to correct or delete information that you submitted, subject to records we must reasonably keep for legal, safety, accounting, dispute, or contract purposes.
